NTFA Announces new partnership with Launceston Mazda
In a first for Northern Tasmanian football, Launceston Mazda has signed on as the inaugural divisional naming rights partner of the Northern Tasmanian Football Association (NTFA), supporting the senior men’s competitions and strengthening grassroots football across the region.
The landmark partnership will see the NTFA’s three senior men’s divisions renamed as:
- Mazda BT-50 Premier League
- Mazda BT-50 Division One
- Mazda BT-50 Division Two
As part of the three-year agreement, Launceston Mazda will also provide a Mazda BT-50 utility vehicle to the NTFA, allowing league officials to better support clubs on the ground, engage with local communities, and promote participation from juniors through to seniors.
NTFA President Peter Gutwein said the partnership marked a milestone moment in the association’s history.
“This will be a great partnership, as both Launceston Mazda and the NTFA are committed to building our local community,” Mr Gutwein said.
“This support will help us better assist clubs to grow participation, improve sustainability and thrive in a changing football landscape.”
Launceston Mazda Director Ed Jones said the dealership was proud to support community sport that plays such an important role in people’s lives.
“We see this as a great opportunity to make a positive impact in Northern Tasmania,” Mr Jones said.
“We know how important football clubs are to local families and communities, and we’re proud to come on board as Major Sponsor to help support that.”
The announcement comes as the NTFA enters a new phase of growth and development under newly appointed General Manager Damian Jones, with a renewed focus on club engagement, participation growth and strengthening local infrastructure.
Women’s football competitions will continue under the support of long-standing NTFA partner Cleanaway, who remain naming rights sponsor for the NTFA Women’s Premier League and Division One Women’s competitions.
This partnership signals strong confidence from local business in the future of Northern Tasmanian football and reinforces the role of community sport in bringing people together and building stronger regions.
